Como ahorrar energia- Like Saving Energy (English Link)


Normalmente una ciudad no está más limpia solamente porque el Servicio de Limpieza sea más eficaz, sino porque los ciudadanos que la habitan manchan menos.

En relación al mundo de la energía ocurre lo mismo. No es suficiente con que cada vez reciclemos más productos y que la energía proceda de fuentes de energía renovables. Hay que dar un paso más y consumir menos energía, vamos a "manchar menos". Para ello es necesario el AHORRO ENERGÉTICO.

¿Cómo podemos ahorrar energía?

Hay que estar mentalizado porque el ahorro es parecido al refrán de "Uva a uva llena la vieja la cuba". En un primer momento con unas cuantas sencillas medidas podemos conseguir un ahorro energético importante. Pasado ese momento se trata de mantener el consumo energético en unos niveles adecuados. Desterrar la idea de que "porque lo puedo pagar voy a consumir un poco más de energía".

1- En casa.
Donde pasamos al menos 8 horas al día, aunque sea durmiendo. Lo ideal sería tener una vivienda bien orientada y perfectamente aislada, pero vamos a ver que medidas se pueden adoptar si no nos encontramos en ese caso.

Los mayores consumos son en calefacción y climatización (aire acondicionado). Se recomienda en invierno:

-Si el sol incide en nuestras ventanas (este, sur y oeste). De día, levantar las persianas para que el calor proporcionado por la radiación solar, caliente nuestro hogar. De noche bajar las persianas para no perder energía por las ventanas. Es recomendable que el edificio esté bien aislado y las ventanas tengan rotura de puente térmico, pero sobre ese punto es más difícil incidir.

-En el caso de la calefacción es recomendable usar un termostao con programador que nos permita establecer una temperatura adecuada en las horas que estamos en casa. Esta temperatura no debería ser mayor de 20,5ºC. La energía necesaria para pasar de 20,5ºC a 21,5 ºC en un piso de 90 m. es considerable, aunque sólo haya un grado de diferencia. Es preferible ponerse una chaqueta para estar en casa. Ventilar las habitaciones sólo durante cinco minutos.
-En cuanto al agua caliente no consume tanta energía como la calefacción pero una buena medida en el caso de que nuestra instalación sea individual es bajar el mando de la temperatura del agua en la caldera. Una posición que caliente mucho el agua para luego tener que enfriarla mezclándola sólo nos hace desperdiciar energía.
Para el verano:
- Tener bajadas las persianas a las que les incida el sol durante el día y las ventanas cerrada. Lo que aisla del frío, aisla del calor. Abrir por la noche las persianas y ventanas para que se enfríe la vivienda.
-Regular los aparatos de aire acondicionado a una temperatura adecuada en torno a los 21 grados.
En todas las estaciones:
-Apagar todos los aparatos que no utilicemos (de botón) si permanece algún led encendido es que no lo hemos apagado del todo y sigue consumiendo energía. Por ejemplo, el de la televisión, video, dvd, etc ... cuando los apagamos con el mando a distancia.

-Usar los electrodomésticos como la lavadora, lavavajillas, secadora en programas adecuados, con agua fría y a plena carga. Si estos son más eficientes energéticamente mejor. Acuérdate cuando tengas que renovar alguno.
-Apagar las luces cuando salgamos de las estancias. Utilizar donde sea posible bombillas de bajo consumo.
En definitiva, apagar todo lo que no usemos y usar lo necesario de manera racional.
2- En el trabajo.
Aquí suele ser más difícil concienciar del ahorro energético, porque entre otras cosas "nosotros no pagamos la luz" y por lo tanto parece que nos da igual lo que se consuma y no nos enteramos (nadie nos informa) del consumo.
Una regla general es utilizar sólo los elementos que necesitemos. Si podemos regular el calor o el frio de nuestra oficina establecerlo en un nivel intermedio para que no tengamos que abrir la ventana del calor que hace o la puerta del frío que genera el aire acondicionado.
3-En el resto.
No coger el coche para trayectos cortos como comprar el pan, el periódico ...
Utilizar los medios de transporte público cuando sea posible.
